If you were a fan of the comfy track pants that were a hit last year then rejoice, because the even comfier leggings are back. They have ruled 2017 as we saw a number of trend setters (bloggers, models, actresses) stepping out in them, pairing them with sneakers, branded clutch bags, over-sized logo tees, bomber jackets, ankle boots and just about anything.
What I absolutely love about this season’s legging trend is the side stripe! It seems that the stripe has been transferred from last years track pants to the leggings (see Gucci’s new collection). These casual sporty looking bottoms are a must for our Autumn outfits not only because they are just right for the changing weather, but also because they can be easily transformed from a day to night outfit. You can wear them all day with your sneakers or a pair of booties and then as the sun goes down you can team them with luxe pieces or a pair of high heels and achieve a more glam outfit. They are also a must for us pregnant ladies who are looking for comfy bottoms that are also elastic enough to accommodate for the growing bump (bonus!).
In the photos I’ve paired the side striped leggings, which I got from Topshop with my favourite v-cut white shoes. Now both v-cut and white shoes are an autumn trend, so look out for them. Hint hint!!!
This shoe trend was a favourite of mine from the last season but for some reason it was impossible to find a pair. I looked everywhere online but nothing was available or affordable…until H&M launched sometime in February the pair I’m wearing in the photos. The trend was first spotted in Celine’s collection and now they’re everywhere (but not when I was dying for a pair…typical!!!). They are super flattering – the V creates a visual arrow – drawing the eyes downwards to visually stretch out your legs. Pairing these with a pair of leggings you can fake some longer pins. And who doesn’t like faking endless legs?
And to help you guys with your shopping I did some research and found some striped leggings (and a few track pants which you can still wear) and v-cut shoes which I liked and hope to buy when baby girl pops out!
Hope you liked the outfit and the pieces. Enjoy!
