Is the Boohoo x Paris Hilton mama appropriate?

Hell Yeah!

To be entirely honest I didnt think I would find anything in the collection that would suit my style or be mum appropriate (knowing Paris’ unique sexy style!). And since I’ve become a mum, 8ish months ago, I found myself wondering whether some things I wear or want to wear are age-appropriate or mama-appropriate. Obviously things have changed during the last decade (or two) and women/mamas can wear whatever they want.

Anyway, a glance through the 70-piece collection proved me wrong.

Guest to a Wedding? Dress to impress on a budget!!!

It seems that whenever I meet up with the girls lately the conversation that takes over is ‘where can I get a dress for that wedding I am invited to without spending a fortune?’. Thank god I don’t have to worry about what to wear to a wedding as I’m not invited to any this year (yet!); which I feel so relieved about because it would have been a bit difficult with this growing bump on its way.

A fresh take on these comfy trousers

IMG_2268

Everyone seems to be talking about so many trends this season. If you go online, on fashion blogs or social media all you see being featured are embroidered tops and bottoms, the gingham trend, off-shoulder tops, ruffles and all sorts of jeans (be it skinny, mom, high-waist, boyfriend, you name it) with embroidery, ruffles, raw ends and the story goes on and on. But I haven’t seen anywhere the very comfortable and easy to wear Tapered trousers. Is it because they are not so flattering to wear and a bit tricky to style?

How to toughen up the floral trend

img_0380

Would you agree with me that florals are always around especially during spring and summer when the shops are filled with colours, prints, flowery designs and sheer textiles? It seems that this season will be no exception as major brands showed their obsession from autumn 2016 when they launched a few pieces. Remember all those ZARA embroidered shirts? They were all covered in flowers but all we were obsessed with was the embroidery. H&M also launched some floral dresses but were sold out in a few days; and were too dark for my liking.

But how does one wear a floral dress/blouse/trousers without feeling too sweet, too girly or too pretty?

How much effort to put in styling a Christmas party outfit?

It’s Friday 9th December which means that we are almost two weeks away from Christmas. This also means that all the Christmas parties have begun and for us ladies this means shopping new party outfits, new dresses (most of the times), shoes and makeup, and everything else that an outfit can be made up of. A very large proportion of us get so carried out with all the Christmas advertisements and all the offers being sent by the shops that we end up buying a whole lot more than just one party outfit or what we actually had in mind. I think all this shopping craziness begins with the Black Friday sales.

Shopping on AliExpress: Hints & Tips!

After talking to a friend back in the summer about all the new clothes I wanted to buy, she suggested I have a look at AliExpress because of the endless affordable options that are available. The minute I went onto the website and I saw what was available I wanted to buy everything. Within seconds my basket included items worth more than £500 (damage done there). In the end I didn’t even buy half of what I added to my basket because I realised that not everything was of good quality or from a trusted/established seller. There are so many sellers and options available that you need to be careful what and from who you are buying. So in this post I have tried to put together a list of hints & tips that will help you

Now some of you might say that everything sold on the website is a copy of the high end brands…BUT isn’t this what all high-street shops do anyway? I mean look at ZARA’s latest pieces…if not all, most of the items are copies of the luxury brands. This is something I love though, because it allows all of us to wear stylish affordable clothes.
